The Waltham Rental Housing Association Anniversary Dinner
WRHA is celebrating its 35th
year anniversary with a dinner meeting on Tuesday, May 8th. Special
guests Representatives Thomas Stanley and John Lawn will be joining us
to celebrate this milestone and to discuss the future of housing in
Waltham.
WRHA was founded as a group of concerned property owners in the City.
They have stressed educating members on the rights and
responsibilities to provide safe housing. Smaller rental housing
owners provide over seventy percent of the affordable housing in the
Commonwealth. Real estate owners are the backbone of the community
and have a significant influence on the neighborhoods where they own
property.
A recent initiative, in coordination with the Waltham Energy Action
Committee and Mass Save, was to present a Conference on Energy and
Weatherization at the Waltham Public Library. Programs to improve
energy usage available to single family, multi-family and small
apartment owners were advertised. Increased energy efficiency and
reduced costs aids landlords, tenants and the larger community.
Please join WRHA in celebrating a better Waltham. The dinner is
Tuesday, May 8th starting at 6:30pm at the Elephant Walk, 663 Main St.
The cost is $30 in advance, $35 at the door. We will have a
four-course meal with vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options. Call
(781) 891-1899 for more information.
