Moody Street, in Waltham, Massachusetts

Originally named by Newton as The "New Road to Waltham" in 1847, it was later renamedMoody Street. Paul Moody was the builder of America's first power looms, powered bythe dam on the Charles River near the Moody Street bridge. Beginning on Main Street nearCity Hall, it crosses the Charles River and continues to the border with Newton. Moody Street is the primarydining and shopping area of Waltham, and is the center of the South Side neighborhood.
